Crosslove 17th June

A cyclocross race, in summer, on a Friday evening? Yep, you read right. Alongside the Pumptrack Challenge, Tweedlove and Innerleithen MTB Racing present Crosslove. Cyclocross (or ‘cross for short) is ridiculously good fun and quite possibly the friendliest, cheapest and most accessible type of bicycle racing out there, so we thought it high time we showed ‘cross some lovin’. They’ll be categories for all ages and any bike with knobbly/grooved tyres will work just fine, hell even a shopper bike would do! The format is beautifully simple: race your socks off for an hour (or less depending on your category) doing several laps around a compact course; and if spectating is more your thing, ring those cowbells hard!

1600: registration/sign on opens
1700 - 1800: full course open for practise
1800: U12's registration closes
1800 - 1815: U12's course open for practise (shortened version of full course)
1815 - 1825: U12's race (~10mins)
1830: U16's registration closes. Full course open for practise
1845 - 1915: U16's race (~30mins)
1920 - 1945: full course open for practise
1930: Registration closes for Juniors(16 - 18 yrs)/Vets(40yrs+)/Womens(18yrs+)/Seniors(18yrs+)
1945 - 2030: J/V/W/S race (~45mins)
2100: Presentations (all categories)
2202: sunset!

Entries:
U12's: 50 limit (pre register + entry on the day)
U16's: 50 limit, 30 pre entry online; remainder available for on the day entry
J/V/W/S: 100 limit: 70 pre entry online; remainder available for on the day entry


Entry Fees:
U12's: £1 (no online pre entry available - all pay on the day, but U12's can pre register details by emailing helen@innerleithenmtbracing.com)
U16's: £4 pre entry; £5 on the day
J/V/W/S: £9 pre entry; £10 entry on the day


Pre entries will be available online via link at www.innerleithenmtbracing.com (will be using Si Entries) right up to Thursday 16th June. Pre entering encouraged - makes for happier organisers(!), but on the day entries also very much available.


Race Course:
The U12's get to race on a shortened, mellower version of the full course, but just as much fun! The full course will be around 2 - 2.5km long and feature a healthy mix of grass, tarmac, woodsy trail, switchback turns, off camber sections, barriers (mini hurdles), short steep up and downs. Great for racing on, ace for spectating.
